Sports and remedial massage
  • Gives you valuable information about your condition as an athlete and the effects of your training program.
  • Regular sports massage helps you to avoid problems associated with overuse therefore minimising the risk of injury and trauma and enabling you to maintain your training programme
  • Sports massage can be specific to a particular muscle group and helps with the rehabilitation of injuries and maximising your performance.

Deep tissue massage
  • Focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. The aim is to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep pressure on the contracted areas, it helps to break up and eliminate scar tissue.

Seated massage

  • The client stays fully clothed and no oil is used.
  • You are seated on an ergonomically designed chair providing maximum comfort.
  • Combinations of techniques are used, incorporating sports massage, remedial massage, pressure points therapy and Shiatsu.

Pregnancy massage
  • Pregnancy massage has many benefits to both mother and unborn baby. Giving both emotional and physiological support during a period of many changes. Some of the benefits are: alleviating aches and pains, emotional stress and muscular tension. It helps stimulate circulation; the respiratory system and can balance blood pressure. All of the benefits will help to prepare your body for the birth of your baby. Treatments can take place after the first trimester with prior consent from your doctor or pre-natal care provider.

Myofascial release therapy
  • Fascia is a 3D soft tissue network that supports, protects and connects every structure of the human body. Releasing fascial restrictions throughout the body helps alleviate acute/chronic conditions, pain, dysfunction and restricted motion.
  • Fascial and muscle releases are more profound resulting in a significant reduction in joint and muscle pain with better long-term results than traditional massage; this is due to the slow deep approach used.
  • The client can gain a deeper understanding about the cause of the pain allowing the body to release naturally and with this new awareness and understanding can learn how to change/let go of patterns in their life that will help to alleviate similar symptoms in the future.

Trigger Point Therapy

  • Trigger points are the painful points in muscle in response to pressure. They can refer pain to other areas of the body and can limit lengthening of the muscle where they reside and can cause muscle shortening in their referral zones.
  • By applying concentrated finger pressure for a few minutes the cycles of spasm and pain reduce and then cease.

Active Tissue Release/Muscle Energy Techniques
  • Restrictions are located within the muscle; the client is directed to move in a precise and controlled manner against precisely controlled counterforce by the therapist.
